The Beech Buccaneers will face off against the Lawson Lightning at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Beech will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Beech had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Overton on Friday. The Buccaneers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Bobcats. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Reese Hall tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Beech got a massive performance out of Jack Douglass, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Douglass has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jackson Kennedy, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Beech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Overton struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Lawson had just enough and edged out Hendersonville 4-2 on Friday.
Lawson also got a great performance from Josh Shamanur as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sawyer Moore, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Elliot Swihart was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Beech's record is now 22-14. As for Lawson, their record now sits at 21-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Beech has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lawson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
