Cheney RVT has struggled against Harvard Ellis Tech recently, as their game on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Cheney RVT saw an underclassman step up: Trinity Hazel scored 13 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 100% of Cheney RVT's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cheney RVT bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.0 points per game. As for Harvard Ellis Tech, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cheney RVT will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Portland at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Portland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Harvard Ellis Tech, they will head out on the road to square off against Prince RVT at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Prince RVT is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
