Academy for Academic Excellence's hitters rose to the challenge against a Jaguars pitching crew that boasted an average of only 4.05 points allowed on Wednesday. The Academy for Academic Excellence Knights came out on top against the University Prep Jaguars by a score of  15-12. 15 seems to be a good number for Academy for Academic Excellence as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
  Aiden Carlson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (she also didn't allow any  walks). Carlson was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.
 In other batting news,  Paityn Thibodeaux was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, six  RBI,  and three  runs while going 4-for-5.  Gracie Farber was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 On University Prep's side,  Dani Jackman and  Ariana Romero stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Jackman  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with a  home run and two  RBI, while  Romero  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Vic Patino, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-5.
 Academy for Academic Excellence is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine games,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-1-2 record  this season. As for University Prep, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 17-3.
 Academy for Academic Excellence will have a chance to go back-to-back against University Prep: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
