Last Saturday, South Bend Career Academy took a serious blow against the Knights, falling 73-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Bend Career Academy has scored all season.
Meanwhile, South Bend Clay pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Bend St. Joseph. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Bend Clay in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite their loss, South Bend Clay saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tyrese Jones, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Jones is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last five games he's played. Kelin Webster was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
South Bend Career Academy's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for South Bend Clay, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
