Inglewood moved up to 287 from 330 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ocean. The Sentinels were able to make the jump by beating Beverly Hills 41-7.
Inglewood extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Normans, 41-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for Stephen Thomas' team.
Culver City's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Xan Cuevas threw for 123 and one touchdown and Justin Montgomery had 71 yards receiving. On the ground Donovan Davis chipped in 140 yards. Julius Wilson helped Culver City's passing attack out by catching three balls for 23 yards.
The Centaurs' Cuevas and Wilson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cuevas has thrown for 1117 yards this season, while Wilson, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 26 catches for 393 yards. Morningside's Dana Dotson leads the league in rushing yards with 520.
Culver City took down Hawthorne 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cuevas ran for 69 yards in the win.
