Baseball Recap: Lodi Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wood-Ridge, Lodi was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Harrison Blue Tide 18-2. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Lodi got a massive performance out of Nikolas Iwinski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Iwinski has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maximillian Veloz, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Lodi's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8-1. As for Harrison, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Lodi and Harrison will both be playing Bergen Charter the next time they take the field. The Rams will host Bergen Charter at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Blue Tide will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
