South Garner's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from James Johnson Jr, who rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Zyier Hines did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 130 receiving yards.
South Garner's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Ebenezer Ewatade and his two sacks.
Fuquay - Varina's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.3 points per game. As for South Garner, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
