The Moanalua Menehune had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 59-26 win over McKinley at home. With Moanalua ahead 32-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Moanalua found their leader in underclassman Isaiah Kimbrough, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Tramir Ladipo, who scored ten points.
Moanalua's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for McKinley, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Kalaheo the next time they take the court. McKinley will head out to face Kalaheo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Moanalua will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
