Softball Recap: Ingomar Has No Trouble Against Strayhorn

Ingomar won the last time they faced Strayhorn and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 12-1 win. Considering the Falcons have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lily Reese Mask made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Mask was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Abby Miller was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Kinzlee Harkness was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Ingomar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Ingomar now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Strayhorn, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Coming up, Ingomar will head out to square off against Tremont at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Strayhorn, they will be playing at home against Byhalia at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
