Even though The Pasadena Memorial Mavericks scored an imposing 40 points on Saturday, the Channelview Falcons still came out on top. Channelview secured a 45-40 W over Pasadena Memorial. That's another feather in the cap for Channelview, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Channelview was led to victory by Traveon Jackson and Tyrone Scyrus. Jackson rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while Scyrus rushed for 224 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Jason Wheelock also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The victory makes it two in a row for Channelview and bumps their season record up to 5-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Pasadena Memorial, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Channelview is on the road again on Friday and play against King at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. King presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Channelview in Texas (King is ranked 33rd, while Channelview is ranked 464th). As for Pasadena Memorial, they will take on Summer Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Summer Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 125 points over their last three matches.
