The El Camino Wildcats were the 68-61 winner over the Santa Fe Christian Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. El Camino took a hard 60-44 fall against Santa Fe Christian on Saturday.
Despite the loss, El Camino still got an impressive performance from Devin Mcgee, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Logan Ardent was another key contributor, scoring six points.
El Camino has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Santa Fe Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
El Camino is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Desert Pines at 9:00 a.m. on December 27th. Desert Pines is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Santa Fe Christian and Acalanes will round out the year against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Acalanes knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Santa Fe Christian likes a good challenge.
