After flying high against Lynnwood last Friday, Bellevue came back down to earth. The Bellevue Wolverines fell victim to a rough 22-4 loss at the hands of the Kentridge Chargers on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bellevue of the 16-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
Alexis DeBoer was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
On Kentridge's side, Josephine Thompson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Thompson has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season. Thompson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Bellevue dropped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Kentridge, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
