The Liberty Christian Academy Heat have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 29 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Oakwood 65-21 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Liberty Christian Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Morton, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Morton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Luke Cavanuagh was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Liberty Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Oakwood, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian Academy will take on Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Kerr-Vance Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Kerr-Vance Academy is on a four-game streak of home losses, Oakwood a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
