It was a good run, but the Ada-Borup Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell just short of Henning by a score of 63-61. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ada-Borup has scored all season.
Ada-Borup's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charles Scholl, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Cadyn Dahl was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Ada-Borup struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Ada-Borup's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1. As for Henning, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ada-Borup will face off against Thief River Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Thief River Falls focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Henning, they will head out on the road to challenge Bertha-Hewitt at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
