It was a good run, but Brandon unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 49-35 bruising from the Starkville Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 57-33 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Brandon's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Starkville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Brandon and Canton will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Starkville, they and Terry will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
