South Kitsap has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Curtis Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully South Kitsap focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, South Kitsap was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-36 to Bellarmine Prep.
Despite the loss, South Kitsap had strong showings from Grace Degarimore, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and six blocks, and Kyla Hoisington, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals. Degarimore is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played.
Curtis suffered their biggest loss since January 4th on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-25 loss at the hands of Rogers. Curtis has not had much luck with Rogers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
South Kitsap dropped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Curtis, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Everything came up roses for South Kitsap against Curtis when the teams last played on January 10th as the team secured a 53-13 win. With South Kitsap ahead 25-4 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
