Basketball Recap: Piute Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wendover

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piute). They strolled past the Wendover Wildcats with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 60-45. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Thunderbirds with their most commanding win of the season.

The win got Piute back to even at 5-5. As for Wendover, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piute will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Kanab at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Piute has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wendover, they will head out to challenge North Summit at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th.
