Afton won against Groton last Wednesday with 22 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Knights' way against the Delaware Academy Bulldogs as they made off with a 22-13 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Afton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Delaware Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Afton has already played their next game, an 11-8 victory against Sidney on the 14th. As for Delaware Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-3 defeat against Harpursville on the 15th.
