Centennial has gone 9-1 against Urbana recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Chargers will take on the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Centennial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Centennial can't be too worried about heading out to take on Urbana: they just beat Westville at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Chargers walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Tigers on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Madden Schurvinske and Tate Sauer made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Schurvinske pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Sauer struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Schurvinske also tossed a walk, which is notable because Centennial is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 11-14 otherwise. At the plate, Schurvinske went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Sauer went 2-for-5 with one triple and one RBI. That's the most doubles Schurvinske has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cal Meyers, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Jake Miller was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Centennial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Centennial.
Miguel Hernandez-Freites made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs. Ethan Murphy also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Centennial's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Urbana, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-18.
Centennial skirted past Urbana 7-6 in their previous meeting on Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
