The North Star Knights's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. North Star will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Hawks are ranked 16th).
Last Saturday, North Star was beaten by the Pioneers 65-37.
Meanwhile, Chester-Joplin-Inverness waltzed into their game on Saturday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They really took it to Box Elder for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-31 win on the road. Chester-Joplin-Inverness has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.
North Star has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Chester-Joplin-Inverness, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
North Star was taken down by the Hawks 61-34 in their previous matchup last Monday. Can North Star avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
