Baseball Recap: Franklin Academy Wins Going Away Against Riverdale Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Briarfield Academy, Franklin Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Riverdale Academy Rebels. The Cougars not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Thorn Bird, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Ratiff, who scored a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Franklin Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Franklin Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Riverdale Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Franklin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale Academy, they will square off against West Side Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
