The Forestview Jaguars and the West Lincoln Rebels will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Forestview has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a rough 79-52 loss at the hands of South Point. Forestview has struggled against South Point recently, as their matchup last Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Forestview saw an underclassman step up: Tralyn Phillips scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Phillips is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Amani Neely was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Even though they lost, Forestview were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Point only pulled down 24 offensive rebounds.
Meanwhile, West Lincoln was beaten by Bandys 68-21 two weeks ago. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Lincoln has scored all season.
Forestview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for West Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Things could have been worse for Forestview, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-40 loss to West Lincoln in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can Forestview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
