Ryle waltzed into their game  on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  9-7  win over the Grant County Braves. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by  exactly two  runs.
  Kiley Patterson was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs and one  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leah Broussard, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Ryle pushed their record up to 14-4-1 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Grant County, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record  this season.
 Coincidentally, Ryle and Grant County will both be playing Henry Clay the next time they take the field. The Braves will  host the Blue Devils at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 5:30  p.m.
