St. Mary managed to keep up with the Providence Prep Rams until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. St. Mary's was outmatched by Providence Prep at home and fell 57-25. Several St. Mary's players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kolbe Barta, who scored seven points. Steven Reyes was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Providence Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Billman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Clark Morrison, who scored 18 points.
St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Providence Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
St. Mary's will head out on the road to challenge Sterling Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grace Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
