The Kankakee Valley Kougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Lowell as Kankakee Valley made off with a 70-50 victory. Kankakee Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.
Kankakee Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camden Webster out in front who scored 19 points along with five steals. Webster continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Sampson, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
The victory got Kankakee Valley back to even at 6-6. As for Lowell, they bumped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Kankakee Valley will square off against Knox at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lowell, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Munster at 7:00 p.m. Munster knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Lowell likes a good challenge.
