After flying high against the Eastside Eagles two weeks ago, The Riverside Warriors came back down to earth. Riverside was the victim of a rough 42-21 defeat at the hands of Greer on Friday. Riverside has struggled against Greer recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Riverside's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Medlin, who threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Mikkel Skinner also helped out as he racked up 134 receiving yards.
Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Greer, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
Riverside will be playing in front of their home fans against York at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
