Mater Dei dropped down to 5-2 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They took a blow against the Orange Lutheran Lancers, falling 33-6. The game marked the Monarchs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

As for Orange Lutheran, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.2 points over those games.

A big part of Orange Lutheran's victory came down to the chemistry between Makena Cook and her top target Happy Dubois. Cook threw for 189 yards and three TDs while completing 91.7% of her passes while Dubois picked up 92 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Cook has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last seven times she's played.
