Adding to the longest winning streak in South Central this week, Staunton beat Litchfield 38-26,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Carlinville and Pana played the closest game in the league this week, with Carlinville eventually emerging with a 26-21 victory. Kinney Myles ran for 237 yards in the win.
Staunton's dynamic duo of Jake Bruhn and Jonathon Allison proved to be unstoppable against the Purple Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bruhn threw for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns and Allison had 70 yards receiving. Marcus Sitko helped Staunton's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 43 yards.
Mike Parmentier's team's dynamic duo of Bruhn and Allison proved tough for Litchfield to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Myles was a beast in the backfield as the Cavaliers defeated the Panthers.
Allison was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs bested Kevin McDonald's team.
Bruhn put up the best numbers in passing as Staunton defeated the Purple Panthers.
Charlie Sheets was a key player and the best on defense this week as Roxana beat Vandalia. The 6-foot-4 senior.
Myles provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Carlinville topped Pana. Myles' key target this week was Ben Rogers, who caught 2 passes for 40 yards.
Myles was the best running back in South Central this week. Teammate Garet Gwillim added to the ground attack by rushing for 30 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Bulldogs' Bruhn and Sitko have proven to be a lethal combination. Bruhn has thrown for 398 yards this season, while Sitko, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 12 catches for 233 yards. Chad Easterday's team's Myles leads the league in rushing yards with 724.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Staunton takes on the Cavaliers. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in first, while Carlinville is in fourth.

The Shells led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Vandals. Blake Vandiver ran for 177 yards and caught 1 pass for 41 yards during the win.
