The Eaton Reds will head out on the road to square off against the Fort Morgan Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eaton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Fort Morgan likes a good challenge.
Eaton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 91-53 victory over Valley. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 65-34.

Eaton can attribute much of their success to Crew Haythorn, who went 8-for-14 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and seven rebounds, and Noah Sprinkle, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Haythorn continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ely Madaleno, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 15 points.
Eaton was working as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Fort Morgan fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Valley by a score of 48-41 on Friday.
Fort Morgan's win came from a few key players Eaton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Angel Lopez, who posted 12 points and six rebounds. Those six boards gave him a new career-high. Carlo Bassalle was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
Eaton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points over those games. As for Fort Morgan, their record is now 6-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Eaton has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Fort Morgan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Eaton strolled past Fort Morgan in their previous meeting on February 4th by a score of 59-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eaton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
