Dixon had won two straight games and JJ Gulat did his part to make it three on Friday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 47-35 victory over the Hobbton Wildcats with plenty of help from Gulat, who rushed for 228 yards and four scores while picking up 13.4 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Hobbton's loss came despite strong showings from Reginald Thompson and Amir Tate. Thompson rushed for 234 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, while Tate gained 129 total yards and two touchdowns. Thompson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.

Dixon's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Hobbton, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Dixon will square off against Southwest Onslow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hobbton, they will challenge Rosewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
