Navajo Prep has gone a perfect 10-0 against Thoreau recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Hawks at 3:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Navajo Prep has five straight wins, Thoreau has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Navajo Prep barely beat Tohatchi the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Tuesday. Navajo Prep's win was all the more impressive since the Cougars were averaging only 4.06 runs allowed on the season.

Khol Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Navajo Prep is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-12 otherwise. Johnson was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Koltyn Holyan and Jashyro Bileen did most of the damage at the plate: Holyan went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Bileen went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Bileen has posted since back in March. Keith Dodge was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Navajo Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
