The Cross Trojans will face off against the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Cross sitting on 11 straight victories and Bamberg-Ehrhardt on ten.
With a playoff game on the line, Cross rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 28-18 win over Allendale-Fairfax.
Tyler Mungin had a dynamite game for Cross, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 102 yards and a touchdown. Mungin was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.
Meanwhile, Bamberg-Ehrhardt put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 41-13 victory over East Clarendon. Bamberg-Ehrhardt pushed the score to 34-0 by the end of the third, a deficit East Clarendon cut but never quite recovered from.
Cross' win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record.
