Willie Nickson was unstoppable on Tuesday, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than two hits. On the year, he has an ERA of .90 over 23.3 innings pitched.

Nickson's strong effort led Armijo over Fairfield and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Armijo is 8-2 against Fairfield going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
