Algonac dropped their record down to 19-14-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Grass Lake Warriors by a score of  4-2. The Muskrats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in June of 2022.
 Algonac saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Autumn Dueweke, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  double.
As for Grass Lake, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 22 of their last 23 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 39-4 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.
On Grass Lake's side,  Morgan ?Mo? Conrad (2026) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 At the plate,  Nadene Hubbard (2025) was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Emily Brown (2025), who  went 3-for-4 with one  run.
