While the Fulton Falcons couldn't quite beat the Sweetwater Wildcats on Friday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 36-point loss they were dealt last Tuesday. Fulton fell just short of Sweetwater by a score of 50-47. Fulton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sweetwater found their leader in underclassman Lilly Woodruff, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Woodruff has scored at least a third of Sweetwater's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Gibby, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Sweetwater, their victory bumped their record up to 5-18.
Fulton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-41 defeat vs. Oak Ridge on the 10th. Sweetwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
