Given Fallston's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Gophers are ranked 131st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ayla Galloway was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Galloway is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bolesta Brooke, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Fallston is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Glen Burnie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fallston will challenge the Cobras at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Glen Burnie, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
