The biggest upset of the week belonged to Norton, who took down 298th ranked Crestwood, 13-12.
The Panthers moved up to 363 from 482 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Portage Trail - Metro. A 13-12 win over the Red Devils helped Norton improve its standing.
Streetsboro's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brad Wolfe threw for 70 and one touchdown and Devin Rencher had 56 yards receiving. On the ground Dorian Williams chipped in 154 yards. John Kelly helped Streetsboro's passing attack out by catching one ball for 14 yards.
Nicholas Belsito made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Rockets topped Springfield. The 5-foot-9 senior racked up two sacks.
Roosevelt's Tra'von Chapman and Trei Thomas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Chapman has thrown for 1213 yards this season, while Thomas has 28 catches for 461 yards. Streetsboro's Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 1004.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when John Arlesic's team takes on the Rough Riders. The Rockets' offense has recorded 122 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Roosevelt has permitted only 143 on the year.
A big matchup in Portage Trail - Metro this week will be when Streetsboro takes on John Nemec's team. At the moment, the Rockets are in first, while the Rough Riders are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Streetsboro and Roosevelt face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Rockets comes in having scored 122 this season, while the Rough Riders have scored 117. Streetsboro scored 34 points last week as it bested the Spartans.
Ravenna was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Ravens beat Coventry 39-14 earlier in the week.
