Northern Lebanon has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Hamburg Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Northern Lebanon suffered their biggest loss yet this season last Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-32 loss at the hands of Lampeter-Strasburg. While losing is never fun, Northern Lebanon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while Lampeter-Strasburg is ranked 184th).
Meanwhile, Hamburg pushed their score all the way to 63 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Panther Valley. Hamburg has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northern Lebanon has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Hamburg, they bumped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
Northern Lebanon was able to grind out a solid win over Hamburg when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 45-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northern Lebanon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
