Colin Roche gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April on Monday. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of Santa Fe Christian's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 5-1 (and 8-11 when he doesn't).

Roche's strong effort led Santa Fe Christian over Bishop and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are 9-1 against the Knights going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
