It was a good run, but San Diego unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by the Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions and fell 78-32. While losing is never fun, the Vaqueros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 638th, while the Lions are ranked 72nd).

Texas Lions HomeSchool's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tahj Johnson, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 20 points. Johnson is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Brian Stewart was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

San Diego's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

San Diego wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-42 loss against West Oso on the 14th. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-40 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 14th.
