The Manchester Greyhounds had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Clay on Monday as Manchester made off with a 50-26 win. Manchester's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Clay's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Craft, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Emnett, who scored ten points along with six assists and two steals.
Manchester's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Clay, they bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Manchester will take on Fayetteville-Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Fayetteville-Perry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday. As for Clay, they will head out on the road to face off against Glenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glenwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
