Football Game Preview: North Wake Saints vs. Davie Pride

The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. North Wake Saints will square off against Davie Pride at 3:15 PM on Friday. North Wake Saints are coming into the game hot, having won eight in a row.

North Wake Saints put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They took the matchup and then some with a 44-6 victory over North Raleigh Christian Academy. North Wake Saints had a senior duo take command as Daryl Jones rushed for 59 yards and 2 touchdowns and Michael Davisson rushed for 106 yards and 1 touchdown. Jones has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.

Meanwhile, after a dominant win in their contest three weeks ago, Davie Pride were humbled two weeks ago. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 14-19 to TEACH.

North Wake Saints's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Davie Pride's loss dropped them down to 2-5. The North Wake Saints defense got after the quarterback against North Raleigh Christian Academy to the tune of six sacks, so Davie Pride's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the match.
