If the Windham Whippets were feeling good off their 82-18 takedown of the Parish Hill Pirates last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Windham fell to Bacon Academy 46-42. Windham has struggled against Bacon Academy recently, as their match on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Whippets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaelize Rivera, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Alyssa Lebiszczak was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Windham's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Bacon Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Windham will be playing at home against Montville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Windham is ranked 23rd). As for Bacon Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against North Branford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
