The Maiden Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Bunker Hill Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Maiden had taken Bandys down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2.

Raegan Rembert was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Rembert wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Clontz, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double was Clontz's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Bunker Hill beat East Burke 7-3 on Friday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Like Maiden, Bunker Hill also got a great game from a two-way player: Serena Thurman. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Thurman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bunker Hill let Alexis Stuebe and Ivy Bowman run wild. Stuebe scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Bowman scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Bowman a new career-high in doubles (two). Victoria Bentley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Bunker Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Burke only posted an OBP of .160.
Maiden has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Bunker Hill, their record is now 12-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Maiden has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bunker Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Maiden came out on top in a nail-biter against Bunker Hill when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
