The Rainier Beach Vikings lost against the West Seattle back in September of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Rainier Beach fell just short of West Seattle by a score of 22-20.
Bo Gionet got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 259 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Ryan Whitney also helped out with an impressive 112 receiving yards.
Rainier Beach has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for West Seattle, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Rainier Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Seattle will head out on the road to face off against Mount Tahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Mount Tahoma focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
