North Mesquite is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Spruce a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The North Mesquite Stallions will host the Spruce Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. North Mesquite has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spruce). They were the clear victors by a 21-9 margin over Seagoville on Tuesday. The Timberwolves not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5, 2024.
Marlene D. made a big impact no matter where she played. Another player making a difference was Madison S., who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Spruce always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .818. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.
Spruce's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for North Mesquite, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-21.
Everything went North Mesquite's way against Spruce in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as North Mesquite made off with an 18-0 win. Do the Stallions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Timberwolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
