The Elfers Christian Eagles took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They put the hurt on Inverness Christian Academy with a sharp 51-27 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Elfers Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Inverness Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Albair, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Albair has scored all season.
Elfers Christian pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Inverness Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Elfers Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Classical Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Classical Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Inverness Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
