After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christian Academy-Louisville, the Fern Creek Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-34 victory over Seneca. That's another feather in the cap for Fern Creek, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Seneca's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Justice Parks, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds, and Janelle Julue who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds. Parks scored a full 26.5% of Seneca's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got Fern Creek back to even at 1-1. As for Seneca, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fern Creek will take on Male at TBD on Tuesday. As for Seneca, they will be playing at home against Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
