The Biglerville Canners will face off against the Susquehannock Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Biglerville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
On Wednesday, Biglerville made easy work of Pequea Valley and carried off a 15-1 win. The Canners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Sydney McCleaf was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paige Slaybaugh, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ava Peterson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Biglerville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, while Susquehannock put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Northeastern. The Warriors blew past the Bobcats 10-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the match before.
Ella Wetzel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Wetzel was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Callie Shue was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Bella Higgins was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI.
Susquehannock has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Biglerville, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
Both Biglerville and Susquehannock just can't seem to miss. The Canners have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Susquehannock struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Biglerville skirted past Susquehannock 4-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Canners repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
