The Bennett Clippers will head out on the road to face off against the Parkside Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bennett had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past Nandua with points to spare, taking the game 54-36.
Parkside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Mardela 79-4 at home. Parkside's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Zion Oge continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for she. Ronnie White was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Bennett's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Parkside, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
Bennett took a serious blow against Parkside when the teams last played back in January, falling 67-28. Can Bennett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
